Routing cost is an abstract metric. It is usually set my a routing algorithm and can take any number of factors into place. A network operator may prefer one face over another and set the costs accordingly or a routing algorithm may modify cost depending on congestion. Routing cost itself doesn't specifically refer to any any metric.

Subject: [Nfd-dev] About the Best Route Strategy.

Hello,
In "NFD Developer’s Guide", I find that you introduced the Best-Route strategy like "The best route strategy forwards an Interest to the upstream with lowest routing cost".
But I don't understand what the "routing cost"specifically refers to ? Can you explain more specifically?

                                                                                                                                                                                    yours, jinyang
