Hi Leonid,

There is nfd-dev at lists.cs.ucla.edu mailing list for discussions specificaly about NFD development (cc'ed here).

I saw your question on ndn-interest mailing list and it didn't strike me as directly related to NFD :)
Theoretically, if you want, you can make it persistent.  If you're asking about the current code, then we don't have that capability and you're welcome to contribute it.
