[Nfd-dev] problem getting started with NFD 0.3.1 binaries

Hi all,

I have a brand new Ubuntu 14.04 VM and I'm trying to install the 0.3.1
release from the ppa. I'm following the instructions from
http://named-data.net/doc/NFD/current/INSTALL.html and everything seems to
have installed ok.

I do a quick nfd-stop and nfd-start for good measure. However, when I run
nfd-status I get:

ERROR: error while connecting to the forwarder (Connection refused)

The 0.3.1 source installation seems to work ok. Is there something wrong on
my end or with the ubuntu packages?
