[ndnSIM] How to detect interest flooding attack

Hello,
 I want to generate traffic in ndn after that I have to detect the interest
flooding attack in ndn.
For that I have downloaded the package (ndnSIM, ndn-cxx , NFD) from the
ndnsim.net.
But I don't know how can I generate traffic .
And I also want to know how can I detect interest flooding attack?
 I want step by step guidence.
Please help me
