[Ndn-interest] Proposing some architectural changes in forwarding strategy of NDN

Hi all,

I am doing some research in NDN architectures for a while. If I want to
proposed some architectural changes, as a result of which the link state
routing may be changed a bit (keeping intact all the basic concepts of NDN
of course), then can I implement and simulate my method in some particular
network graphs using any of NDNsim or MiniNDN at all? Or any such
architectural changes can not be implemented by us currently in the
simulators? Is there any other way out?

I searched some papers on the NDN with simulation but could not find many
such journal papers where implementation is done on miniNDN or NDNsim, I
found some conference papers. If you can kindly share some good journal
papers, I can take some help from them.
