[Ndn-interest] how does the NDN router handle many Interests?

Helo,
    I have encountered some problems recently. 
    I want to know how does the NDN router handle Interests, when it receives a lot of Interests? 
Are these Interests stored firstly using a queue-like data structure and then processed in turn?
If so, can you tell me where the queue is? If not, how does the NDN router handle Interests
