Hi Mohammad,

it’s difficult to have a full view of all the content in all (or even nearby only) routers/caches in the network. There are however, ways to discover content off-path as Interests travel upwards towards their destination.

See:
- Native Content Discovery for ICN: https://www.ee.ucl.ac.uk/~ipsaras/files/efib-icn17.pdf
- Opportunistic Off-Path Content Discovery in ICN: https://www.ee.ucl.ac.uk/~uceeips/files/off-path-discovery-lanman16.pdf

Hope these can give some first insights.

Best regards,
Yiannis.

Hello,

Is NDN able to discover the routers which cache the data? if the data cached on different routers in the network, is there away for consumer to know about all these routers?

Thanks,
Mohammad
