[Ndn-interest] Questions about broadcasting an interest

Dear Laqin,

While looking at the question technically, I would give two aspects:

1. Either we make an assumption that without any milisecond difference, if
both packets are trying to reach same consumer: packets might collide/drop.
In that case, Consumer's PIT entry is still having an entry and it will
wait for a certain amount of time and will rebroadcast Interest as it is
unsatisfied.

2. Or, if we avoid this narrow assumption, when the first copy of Data
packet arrives, consumer matches the Data name with entries in PIT. Once it
is determined that the received packet is not unsolicited, the Data is
stored at CS (let's say) and corresponding PIT entry is deleted. On the
arrival of second copy, it is treated as unsolicited packet and thus
discarded.

Meanwhile, it depends on the application as well. If the consumer prefers
freshness as priority one, it may use Pub/Sub and wait for the fresh copy.
However, that will lead the discussion towards another debate. I hope point
1 and 2 clears the question.

Regards,
Hassan
