[Nfd-dev] Anyone used nfd-android with Ad-Hoc WiFi mode or Bluetooth?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the clarification, I indeed saw an earlier post regarding upcoming WiFi-Direct support. However, since this is different from either WiFi Ad-Hoc or Bluetooth is was wondering whether one of those are supported. But it appears indeed that WiFi Ad-Hoc is unsupported by the current versions of the Android OS, for which there are some work-arounds available, but they are inapplicable to our test setup unfortunately.

So how about Bluetooth support within nfd-android, has that been implemented?

Hi Bastian,

We have pending commit to enable semi-automatic WiFi direct capability (https://gerrit.named-data.net/#/c/3563/) coupled with name discovery protocol on top of it.  It just needs a bit more testing before going upstream.  I did an short series tests so far and it was really cool to see it working with a demo whiteboard app.
