As Lixia mentioned, we are almost finished with integration of WiFi direct function i NFD-Android app.  The code is on our gerrit (https://gerrit.named-data.net/#/c/3563/ <https://gerrit.named-data.net/#/c/3563/>) and you're really welcome to try it and help us thoroughly debug it before it goes into the released version of the app.
