Hi Chaim

Is this caused by a bad configuration file?
Please look at the diff between sample configuration and your active configuration, to find out whether the configuration contains an option that has been deprecated and removed.

Also look at NFD's log (not syslog) to see why NFD would crash.

Yours, Junxiao

Subject: [Nfd-dev] NFD updated in ubuntu packages ?

NFD was updated recently in the ubuntu repo. I just installed the update
and now NFD will not keep running.
*Jan 19 12:37:55 crieger-Precision-WorkStation-T5500 kernel:
[237564.227273] init: nfd main process (4915) terminated with status 2
Jan 19 12:37:55 crieger-Precision-WorkStation-T5500 kernel:
[237564.227286] init: nfd main process ended, respawning

crieger at crieger-Precision-WorkStation-T5500:/var/log$ nfd-status
ERROR: error while connecting to the forwarder (No such file or directory)

Was running just fine just before the update. Anybody else notice an
issue when updating via packages on Ubuntu 14.04 ?
