[ndnSIM] Question about Freshness

Hi
I want to make disable cache-hit in my simulation, so I add must-be-fresh tag in ndn-consumer.cpp SendPacket function. But after some seconds consumer didn't send any packets and stopped sending. When I increased Freshness from zero to every positive value, it worked.(consumer continued sending). Could you please explain what happened in the insertDeadNonceList() function?
