[ndnSIM] How to use ndnSIM to simulate a cache policy?

Hello,
Recently, I want to use ndnSIM to simulate a ndn cache policy, but I only
find some information on
 https://github.com/cawka/ndnSIM-examples/tree/master/extensions/custom-cs,
it is a three year ago.
http://ndnsim.net/2.1/cs.html it didn't mention how to do it.

Can I use it? And also if I need implement a cache policy, How to write a
class to do this?
Can you give me some information on this.
