[Mini-NDN] Need help: Installation issue

minindn is no longer installed in the system like before and is removed from the repo as well. Mini-ndn has been rewritten for more finer control on experiments which was getting difficult to do with the old experiment framework (don't think we have had a release with the new framework yet). For example, in the old way users who don't want to run Nlsr had to pass --no-nlsr flag. Now users can simply not have the nlsr instantiation code in their experiment.

Please look at http://minindn.memphis.edu/experiment.html for how to write experiments now. Also look under the examples/ folder.

Hi Saurab,

I solved the first issue just now.

Could you please tell me why $sudo minindn is not working?

Thank you.

Best regards,
Nazatul

Hi Saurab,

Thanks for your quick response.

I have already done it, but unfortunately, I was getting those errors. I do not understand the reason.

I would like to mention that when I run $sudo python examples/minindn.py, it takes the default topology (which is working fine). But when I take another topology as input parameter, I am getting the following error:

"Using topology file my-topology.conf
error reading config file: No section: 'nodes'"

I would also like to mention that $sudo minindn command is not working. It is showing sudo: minindn: command not found.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Nazatul

Hello Nazatul Haque Sultan,

Either you have to provide the full path of the conf file, or the file should reside on the same folder from where you are executing minindn.

Best,
Saurab

Thanking you.

Kind regards,
Nazatul Haque Sultan
