[Mini-NDN] Simulation of a modified ndn routing

Hello,

If someone wants to test a modified routing in NDN, how it can be started?
If the objective is to simulate it in ndnSIM but before that can it be
tested in Mini-NDN as well with a small network? Is there any library that
has to be modified? If not, then where from it can be started? Otherwise if
there any other way out to check the viability of the modified routing
method?
