<div>Lixia and Alex recently mentioned the plan to build a forwarder in Java intended for Android.  Perhaps someone could explain here the motivation for doing this rather than porting the existing C++ implementation?    Is the expectation that it would provide

 all of the features of the C++ NFD?   </div>

<div>Also, what is the timeline for completion?  For the Open mHealth network environment, I had assumed based on previous conversations that NFD would be used on Android and thus we'd be able to work with the "complete"  platform on Android very soon.  </div>
