We expect to see new participants and try new NDN-based applications at NDNComm 2025. NDNComm 2025 will be a hybrid meeting. The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate, either in person or remote, in this event, and calls for your contributions. Immediately following NDNComm 2025, there will also be a 2-day NDN hackathon April 19-20, also in hybrid mode. We welcome all interested parties to participate. I assume it is my lack of understanding of NFD. We do not have a fixed agenda for each call. The posted agenda serves as reminder of issues we need to address, but each call is not limited to that. If one has difficulties in following the conversation, that's probably not so muc due to lack of specific knowledge of NFD, but the lack of the overall NDN development. One good way to catch up is to do one's homework, e.g. listen to all the recordings of annual NDN Community meetings, and read the NDN publications and TRs. Thank you for your interest in the Hackathon. For anyone else thinking about participating but haven't signed up yet, please do so here: https://forms.gle/pX2BmNjP4oNrW6bA6. We need a solid head count before the end of this week. ? Awards will be determined by the judging committee after final presentations. Since we're just in the "proposal" phase, I would focus on the first two aspects of the project listed?here. After project proposal presentations, participants will be able to join the project they find most interesting, so there is no guarantee that every proposal will lead to a project. You're welcome to propose multiple projects, especially if you have many ideas but aren't sure which one people would find the most interesting. ? Please also keep in mind that we will effectively only have about a day to work on the projects, with the second day usually only for polishing things up and preparing a presentation. Some of the best projects I've seen were small in scope but broadly impactful. For example, I still use ndn-cxx's logging, ndn play, ndncert-v3, and ndn-fch to this day, all of which were developed or deployed as hackathon projects. ? Regarding the proposal submission process, an example of a "goal of the project" would be "to make NDN-Lite easier to deploy". Can you please resubmit your proposal with a new goal, as well as a "Project Pitch" as described in the?Submission Instructions? I forgot to make this mandatory in the form. ? Let me know if you have any questions, Adam ? ? ? -----Original Message----- From: Alper To: nfd-dev Date: Thursday, 27 March 2025 3:25 AM PDT Subject: [Nfd-dev] on participating 17th Named Data Networking (NDN) Hackathon Hi all, I am participating in the 17th Named Data Networking (NDN) Hackathon.
