Subject: Re: [Nfd-dev] Building NFD on Windows

Hi Jeff

Can you explain more about the platform? Specifically:

  *   What version of Windows?
     *   Intel or ARM architecture?

Intel

     * Server or Enterprise or Professional or Home or RT edition?

Server 2008 64-bit
(though we may have other options)

     * Windows XP or Windows 7 or Windows 8?
  *   What kind of hardware?
     * Server or Desktop or embedded system?

Server

     *   How much memory available?

Whatever is needed, >4GB available shouldn't be a problem

     *   How many CPU cores?

Whatever is needed, multicore

     * Does the CPU support VT-X (so that we can use Hyper-V or VirtualBox to run a Ubuntu VM alongside Windows)?

Not sure as we haven't purchased the hardware yet but my question is about running NFD natively on Windows.

Yours, Junxiao
