I haven't read it completely, but I have a hunch that NDN holds promise for distributed networking and storage like IPFS. Me and my students have been working at the intersection of blockchain and storage. At the same time we are also exploring NDN, mostly the security aspects. </div><div><br></div><div>The IP based network layer of distributed storage systems can be replaced by NDN. One can leverage on the inbuilt security and content caching available in NDN. I am not sure at this point how all these might work together, but we have been thinking along these lines. As part of some recent research work, I wrote a synopsis of NDN and collected all the literature I could find about it. I will happily accept corrections and suggestions -- I did my best, but I'm sure there are mistakes.<br>

My hope is to do more in the area of decentralized networking in the near future, and write more technical summaries along the way. One topic I'd like to investigate is how NDN relates to IPFS. Any pointers about information regarding that would be welcome!<br>

1/ it seems that the synopsis was written before the recent NDN spec update<br>

How are these related to decentralized content-oriented networks? Can current efforts such as NDN and IPFS support mobility and delays?"<br>

Those are good questions.<br>
To the last one: I need to read more about IPFS, but I can answer the NDN part with "yes".<br>

but didn't manage to finish it quickly, so I gave up. Your comment made me believe that report is still worth finishing, however late it is.<br>
